Christine Davis is a board certified appellate specialist who handles civil appeals and extraordinary writ proceedings in state and federal courts in all areas of the law, including actions involving torts, medical malpractice, health care, insurance coverage and bad faith, product liability, and constitutional litigation. She also regularly prepares amicus briefs in high-profile, precedential cases for industry groups and associations, such as the Florida Justice Reform Institute, the National Alliance of Life Companies, the American Insurance Association, the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies, the Personal Insurance Federation of Florida, and the National Association of Wine Retailers.

In addition to her traditional appellate work, Christine’s practice includes extensive participation at the trial court level. In this role, she has logged countless courtroom hours participating in lengthy, high-profile trials throughout the state during which she strategizes with trial counsel; ensures the record is properly preserved for appeal; and prepares and argues dispositive motions, motions in limine, Daubert motions, directed verdict motions, jury instructions, and verdict forms. She also handles post-trial briefing and argument, as well as other post-trial issues such as securing stays and supersedeas bonding.

Christine has testified before committees of the Florida Legislature on various substantive areas of the law, including bad faith, tort issues, and gaming. She also frequently provides presentations to her clients, trial lawyers, and other organizations on topics relating to appellate issues and the best trial practices from an appellate lawyer’s point of view, which covers every part of litigation, from the filing of the complaint to the filing of the appeal.

Christine has been repeatedly selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America for Appellate Practice (2020–2024) and has been consistently listed in Florida Trend’s Florida Legal Elite and selected for inclusion in the Florida Super Lawyers list for Appellate Practice for more than ten years. In 2023, Christine was selected as one of the Top 50 Women Lawyers in Florida by Florida Super Lawyers. She is a past president of the First District Appellate Inn of Court, served two terms on the First District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission, and is currently serving as a vice chair of The Florida Bar Appellate Court Rules Committee.
